Costa Tropical • Spain

In the past, the Costa Tropical was frequently disregarded in favor of the Costa del Sol, its nearby shore. However, with the new highway providing better access, lower rates, nicer beaches, and more natural settings, more people are flocking to this area. The Granada coastline is made up of three medium-sized towns and a slew of tiny white villages... but it's best known for Almuécar, its sidekick La Herradura, and their charming neighbor Salobrea. Nerja, the well-known white town on the border, is only a 10-minute drive away. With a population of over 60,000, Motril is currently a major tourist destination and the largest of the Costa Tropical cities.
