Riviera • France
The French Riviera is a Mediterranean coastline in France's southeast corner. Although there is no formal border, it is often seen to run from Toulon, Le Lavandou, or Saint-Tropez in the west to Menton on the France–Italy border in the east. The coast is entirely inside the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The Principality of Monaco is a semi-enclave inside the region, bordering France on three sides and facing the Mediterranean Sea. Cap-d'Ail, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cannes, Saint-Raphael, Fréjus, Sainte-Maxime, and Saint-Tropez are all seaside destinations on the French Riviera.
